Settle Pool has launched a scheme where supporters can loan money to the pool through the government’s Social Investment Tax Relief Scheme.
This scheme enables charities and social enterprises like the pool to borrow money from supporters, who in turn get tax relief at a rate that gives a higher rate of return than they would expect to get from a bank or building society.
The pool is looking to raise £100,000 for three years to cover the period up to the point when the new health and wellbeing hub becomes financially sustainable.
