Welcome to the Health and Wellbeing Hub
For 45 years the people of Settle and the surrounding communities have enjoyed the indoor swimming facilities provided by Settle Pool.
Now, in the biggest development since the opening of the pool in 1974, we are undertaking a major extension to the building so that it becomes not just a swimming pool, but a Health and Wellbeing hub, combining new dry side facilities including a studio/meeting/social event space and many other facilities, alongside the pool.
The changing facilities will be brought up to date with a changing village to meet the needs of all users.
There will be a larger and improved reception area with a café space linked to the studio to provide maximum flexibility.
The new facilities will be open for community use and ideas from members on what they want to see in the new area are welcome: Please send your ideas by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Work began at the end of September 2021, and we hope it will be completed by early summer 2022. Following an initial closure in early October 2021, the pool will open on a limited basis for most of the rebuild period. For details of current opening arrangements, see timetable.
There is of course a financial cost to all this. Thanks to reserves build up by pool trustees and the Friends of Settle Swimming Pool and also to grants from Craven DC and from a major national sporting body, we are able to go ahead.
Just as Settle Community has supported the pool over our first 45 years, we will be looking for your support to continue as we move forward with this exciting new venture. Full details of how to donate on the website are here.
