Full-Time and Part-Time Positions

Settle Area Swimming Pool are looking to recruit Lifeguards to help provide a safe, clean and welcoming environment for the public within our expanding facility and provide supervision of the pool in the role of Lifeguard.

We are looking for reliable passionate people with excellent customer care skills who are adaptable, enjoy working with the public and are committed to providing the essential services of this Charity registered facility. Duties include the supervision of the swimming pool and supervision of public areas throughout the building.

You will be responsible for ensuring the high standards of cleaning are met and housekeeping duties are fulfilled.

It is an essential requirement of the post for successful applicants to hold the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and hours will be allocated on either a full/part-time basis.

Consideration will be given to applicants who currently do not hold the qualification - training will be provided to the right person. Applicants who require training will need to be available to attend Craven Pool in Skipton from Monday 25th October through till Friday 29th October and be available for the examination Saturday 30th October. Applicants need not be olympic swimmers but need to be generally competent. Please do not hesitate to speak to us if you are unsure of the swimming standard required. We will be glad to help!

Hours will include an evening and/or weekend shift. Comprehensive monthly first aid/water rescue training is given and opportunities to progress into teaching are also offered to employees. To further look after our employees, help maintain their fitness and well being and to thank them for the important work they contribute to our day to day running we offer FREE swimming to all our staff.

Swimming Teacher

Part-Time Position

The successful applicant will already hold a Swim England or STA qualification and ideally hold the RLSS 'National Pool Lifeguard Qualification', however, this is not essential. The hours will be allocated on a part-time basis and will include some evenings and weekends.

You will join our friendly, enthusiastic and committed team of teachers who aim to provide a high standard of teaching following Swim England's Learn to Swim Programme. Teachers aim to build learners water confidence, motivate swimmers to achieve Swim England Standards and deliver vital aquatic water skills in a fun, happy and safe environment.

Aqua Aerobics / Hydrolates Instructor

Part-Time Position

We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic instructor to help deliver our Aqua Aerobics/Hydrolates sessions throughout the week.

The candidate preferably will already hold the relevant water fitness qualifications but training will be given to the right person who is committed to providing a high standard of service to our customers.
