As a registered charity, the pool is managed by a committee made up of local people who kindly volunteer their time to oversee the running of the facility. Their aims are to provide a safe place for children and adults to learn to swim, to help look after the well-being of our customers and provide a high quality swimming pool for everyone to enjoy. We welcome not just residents of Settle but customers from the surrounding areas and, of course, the many visitors staying here.
Since the pool operates as a registered charity, fundraising and donations are vital to our success especially since funding from Craven District Council ended in March 2016, leaving a shortfall of more than £30,000.
Launched on Friday 9th of October 2015 by our local MP, Julian Smith, the boards provide an excellent advertising opportunity for local business as well as providing financial stability for the pool. If you are interested in purchasing one of these boards, please contact the pool.
We have been fortunate to receive vital funding for the pool from the following organisations.
Swimming Pool Shop
Staffed entirely by volunteers, the pool shop opened in 2019 and makes a vital contribution to our funds. Even in it's first year it has provided over £56,000 which has contributed towards projects and ongoing running costs.

We receive many donations from local people, parish councils and local businesses and wish to say a BIG thank you for their support.
Thanks must also go to our sister Charity 'The Friends of Settle Swimming Pool' who work tirelessly throughout the year collecting cardboard and running 'The 200 Club' draws. Their financial support to the pool is vital.
If you have any fundraising ideas we'd love to hear from you.
