The 200 club has been raising money for Settle Pool for more than 25 years.
For 2025 holders of each of the 200 numbers makes a donation of £30 per number per year, collected in January, and in return their number is entered into a monthly draw to win cash prizes that range from £30 up to £200 at Christmas! Most members hold just one number but some have two or even three.
There are ten monthly draws - February to November – with prizes of £80, £50, £30 in each draw. In the Christmas draw there are seven prizes of £200 each. Thus, half of the £6,000 collected year goes in prize money – the rest is donated to the pool.
Over the years the 200 club has supported the pool to the tune of at least £30,000.
Everyone who has had a number for 2025 will be asked shortly whether they wish to renew for 2026. As usual there are likely to be a few vacancies so if you would like a number for 2026 and are not already a member of the 200 club please email Mike Smith, the organiser, at secretary@settleswimmingpool.co.uk.
The 2025 bumper Christmas draw was made by Santa Claus during a break from joining Settle Rotary Club on their pre-Christmas sleigh ride around the area.
