Celebrations to mark Settle Area Swimming Pool’s fiftieth anniversary got off to a flying start with an auction at the North Ribblesdale Rugby Club on   June 6 that raised £1,752 for pool funds.

Professional auctioneer Bretten Lord of Lords Courtyard tempted ever higher bids for items donated by pool supporters and local businesses. These included a week’s holiday in a Scottish cottage, two halves of lamb, and hampers of food and of beauty products.

Our thanks to all those who came along to the event and especially to the local business and supporters who were so generous with their donations. 

The June 2025 draw was made by Bretten Lord at the North Ribblesdale Rugby Club at the start of the auction held as part of the pool’s 50^th anniversary celebration.
